Honoring contributions to the advancement of Texan cinema at every level.

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, I led the creative direction for the 2025 Texas Film Awards from its announcement in July 2024 through the red carpet event in March 2025.

The identity draws inspiration from direct animation, an experimental technique in which imagery is created by drawing directly onto film stock. The initial announcement referenced the blue title cards typical of these films, introducing a clean, uniform system of ten 25 icons representing different facets of filmmaking.

As the event approached, the palette and tone evolved into something futuristic, experimental, and colorful while remaining built from the same core assets. This shift allowed the identity to transform over time without losing its original structure, mirroring the process of filmmaking itself.
